Reflection

 1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent

social groups or issues?

Our product challenges conventions as the main actor in the film is of Native American descent, which, as it is not common for Native Americans to get proper social representation in media

2. How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a
real media text?

Our product engages with the audience by creating a sense of ambiance. Our product would be distributed as real media text through ads online to promote our product.

3. How did your production skills develop throughout this project?

In the beginning of this project I had little to know about the editing process of filming a commercial. Throughout the entire editing process I was constantly learning, I did not even know of any editing software prior to this project.

4. How did you integrate technologies – software, hardware and online – in this
project?

I integrated technology through the form of the blog we used online to document this process, and editing software like caput that helped put the film together

5. How did your production skills develop throughout this project?

My production skills developed throughout this project include editing skills as I learned how to use software and camera skills as we used multiple camera angles to film the shots. I also developed my directing skills as I directed the entire commercial.

6. How did you integrate technologies – software, hardware, and online – into this

I integrated technology in this project by using Capcut, filming on an iPhone, and using an online blog
