Planning Blog: Location, participants, health, schedule

 Location:

Sarah's apartment building is the setting for the film. There is a clubhouse in there that we can occupy at any time of day we would like. It is very spacey and has a lot of things we can be doing in there, such as sitting in the movie room, playing pool, ping pong, and Foosball, to set the scene of everyone being together as a group. It would be a nice sight to see since the whole piece is about friends becoming lovers, and these activities can show the aspect of friends having a good time all together. 

Participants:

The first participant is Luke, and he is the cameraman of this film. He will be behind the scenes, doing the work of holding onto the camera. The next participant is Elton, who is one of the main characters of the short film. He is one of the friends who admits his feelings to another character. The third participant is Mallory, and she is also one of the main characters that eventually ends up admitting feelings for Elton. The fourth participant is Brayden, and he is also a main character involved in the admitting feelings situation, since it all happens at once, so fast. The last participant is Sarah, the last main character in this film. As we can see this pattern going, she ends up revealing her true feelings about Brayden right back to him, after he does to her. 

Health:

With the creation of this movie intro, no one was physically or mentally harmed. It does not cause any damage to the actors and actresses that were filmed in the video. It is important that everyone stays safe, and we ensured that that was the case for our group. We would not want anyone to get hurt because it would be inadequate to the time we have to film the actual video. 

Schedule:

On 02/15/23: Our group researched genres to decide which one we wanted to do for our film and made the genre's final decision after working on the research to film a romance clip. 

On 2/19/23: Our group researched movies of the romance genre to come up with plot ideas for our script to help us brainstorm. 

On 02/23/23: Our group started thinking about the script and typing it up to have enough time to add more ideas if needed. We also worked on the storyboard since it would correlate with the script.

On 03/8/23: Our group will begin meeting in our film locations to record and shoot and start putting our clips together to make our final short film.

On 03/15/23: Our group will begin editing our video in order to make our final breakthrough with the short film.

Massive mistake rescheduling needed

 Hey blog. This past weekend we finished up our short film in the shadows Upon editing I realize a massive flaw within our film. Though our filming went great with Brayden and Sarah nailing their roles to a tee, I made a mistake. I filmed the entire film vertically, an absolute travesty. It was as if the film was supposed to be on a social media app you scroll by, obviously not proper for the formatting we intended. But its not the end of the world a we have a lot of time to re shoot. I'm not going to dwell on it however as again its just a small bump on a long road. Other than the actual formatting of the film being wrong the scenes themselves are very good and I am pleased with the outcome. We will just consider the first shots as a simple rough draft. I will talk to Brayden and Sarah about another filming opportunity. Again our schedules this year has with out a doubt has been the busiest we have ever been.
