Our pitch

 \Hello, The following are pitches my friends and I have came up with for the upcoming short film we are making in which I will be lead director 

 

Tittle : In The Shadows, “A high school girl goes to get snacks at a corner store to get some snacks, but who's watching?” 

As the director of our upcoming short film, I am thrilled to share a pitch for our the intense narrative that will unfold in our possible project, "In the Shadows." The story revolves around a 16-year-old high school girl, portrayed by our friend Sarah, who embarks on a seemingly ordinary trip to a corner store for snacks. The atmosphere quickly takes a chilling turn as Sarah's character becomes the unsuspecting target of a sinister kidnapper, played by Brayden, her real-life close friend. The juxtaposition of their genuine friendship against the backdrop of an intense, suspenseful plot adds a layer of authenticity to the narrative.  

Tittle: For the love of Ball, “A professional soccer player joins a new team, but the coach is nothing like he expected.” 

This dramatic tale follows the role of a female soccer phenom who makes it to her dreams of the big leagues. The actress portrayed will be our friend Sarah. Things take turn however as an injury sustained during a practice preparing for upcoming season turns out to be a major injury leading to thoughts of self doubt and depression. Coupled with a coach that is nothing like she is anticipated she has a moral dilemma on her hands about her passion for the sport. 

 

Final Decision/Why?:  

After careful consideration, we have decided to move forward with "In The Shadows" as our chosen project. This decision is driven by both creative and practical considerations. The compelling storyline, coupled with the authentic performances we anticipate from Sarah and Brayden, aligns well with our vision for a suspenseful and visually engaging short film. Moreover, the absence of an adult actor to play the coach in "For the Love of Ball" poses a practical challenge that makes "In The Shadows" a more feasible and exciting choice for our team. We look forward to bringing this intense and suspenseful narrative to life with the talent and enthusiasm of our dedicated cast and crew.

Massive mistake rescheduling needed

 Hey blog. This past weekend we finished up our short film in the shadows Upon editing I realize a massive flaw within our film. Though our filming went great with Brayden and Sarah nailing their roles to a tee, I made a mistake. I filmed the entire film vertically, an absolute travesty. It was as if the film was supposed to be on a social media app you scroll by, obviously not proper for the formatting we intended. But its not the end of the world a we have a lot of time to re shoot. I'm not going to dwell on it however as again its just a small bump on a long road. Other than the actual formatting of the film being wrong the scenes themselves are very good and I am pleased with the outcome. We will just consider the first shots as a simple rough draft. I will talk to Brayden and Sarah about another filming opportunity. Again our schedules this year has with out a doubt has been the busiest we have ever been.
