update on prodcution

 Hi blog, as disused in my last blog we had a meeting planned on the 8th.The meeting went a little different then I expected.For starters we did not get to choose what music we wanted to use for our film. We did however agree on a date to film. The date we are filming Sunday the 12th.This was just the tip of the iceberg of our meeting. Unfortunately we have to get Mallory out of our script. This is because of scheduling reasons we could not find a proper time to fill her schedule. Although this is unfortunate we have news involving her departure. We are adding a new member to the group as her replacement. Instead of Mallory we will be having our friend Thandi to fill her shoes that’s she left. This is great as we feel Thandi’s charismatic feature are perfect for our film.She adds great character and is a naturally charming person and comes with life. My group members and I are excited to involve her into our film.We also decided on our roles as well. We will have Luke be the camera man shooting our film. We do not know who will do production so far in the process after we film. But this role will probably fall on me. Though I am hoping we agree on a group effort in editing. I believe Luke will help with all the title shot as he has done a lot of research on tittle slides. I was hoping to film this Saturday but I am wrestling in a tournament that starts at 3. The only way out filming gets delayed is if my wrestling tournament that starts at 9 on Sunday last the entire day.All in all everything is going good with our group. Even with the lost of one of our intended actress we are still solid and are working together very well. I hope nothing but the best for the future of the group. Even with the time constraints within everyone schedules.

Comparing 9 the short length and long length

Short Film: What are some of my impressions? The short film "9" is our first true exposure to Acker's creative universe. The short and to the point style of the narrative pushes a focused scope of its plot, character development, special effects, and how he goes about directing. The plot unfolds with a sense of urgency, teleporting the audience in a post-apocalyptic world extremely different from the one we live in where mechanical beasts known as "Fabrication Machines" stay. Even through a small window of time, Acker easily pushes depth into the characters, creating an emotional connection with the audience. Even as the special effects are not Marvel Universe tier, they showcase Acker's readiness to invent a visually striking environment.
