title research: Art of the title, Watch the titles
Hey, blog, so we’ve been doing some research. Specifically, about this website, we found that seems it could be a significant help. It’s called artofthetitle.com. And it’s honestly pretty cool. The site is full of information about different opening sequences of movies and films. There are a bunch of articles with information about genres and how each title sequence is tied to a particular genre. It also has information on what and how elements of the title sequence can foreshadow the kind of film you’ll be watching. I saw a plethora of movie sequences and different forms of art used to create them. My group and I have started to understand more about how sequences work, and how to create a viable one. I studied this website because I found positive information about it on the internet, and it did not fail to satisfy my informational requirement. Today I also researched another website I found appealing. It’s called watchthetitles.com. This site has a large selection of films and their details, along with the opening sequence. All the posts, or at least most of them, include information about the creation and creators of the film and people involved in the production. This site provides good background about how most title sequences become dull and general. Which now is something that my group will be able to avoid. The site provides many designers and studios to search for and from. They also have a feature that we will most likely use, it is a student project submission. The site showcases the works they believe are worthy of it. My group and I will most certainly be utilizing the information this site has to offer, it is valuable to the development of our title sequence-producing skills.
